Hi all!
Damn fustrating.. i get this error with message (code=007) so many times a day! Like in Thunderland mission.. i tried to compleate it like 30 times.. and 29 of the times i get disconnected right before its compleated.. I was about to give up and throw away my cd when i gave it one last try today and made it. But the error still occours.. like 10-20 times a day =/
I got a DLINK DGL-4300 gaming router with portforwarding the GW ports.

Well throwing away your CD won't do anything, you could still play, lol.
Is playing GW the only time this problem occurs?

Neterr 7 is an error that has plagued many a guild wars player since the creation of the game. Basically, it means that the client has lost connection with the server. As far as i know, if your connection is solid and you've never had any problems before with other games, it may not be fixable. I doubt it's your wireless router if you've tested it and it works. it may be your ISP (what is your ISP?) or your computer's network connection. (how does you computer connect to the internet, ethernet cable into a network card, ethernet into the motherboard, etc.) Also, what anti-virus programs do you use? I've heard of one or two that like crashing GW. Wish I could remember their names at the moment.

Ever since last thursday (a couple days after they did the update with the player creation screens) I've been having the same problem. I can't play guild wars anymore at all unless I plan on playing 5 minutes intervals becasue that's the longest I can stay on (unless I sit still hardly moving In one single town).
It seems that this has started happening to a lot of people after the last big patch and I dp't know why.. I've tried like 4 different dri vers for my Radeon card and different virus scan programs... I'm completely clean of all that crap.. sometimes it seemed like new drivers made a difference but it was nothing too noticeable it was probably just old ones being buggy or something.
I've tried e-mailing using "ask a question" a few times but if you've done that before you might know that it's pretty useless. I ran Guild Wars just fine ever since late december and I never saw a Code=007 error before just now. I haven't changed anything with me computer, but arena.net has. Maybe it's something that only affects certian kinds of computers/configurations/nic's/etc., but whatever it is it's a bunch of bull**** becasue I want to play the game I spent 40 bucks on.

sf592136's got a good point here. It does seem to be timed with the release of the major update, and only a few computers are affected. Of the 30 or 40 members in my guild (never counted, just an estimate) only about 3 or so have had problems. My first explanation would be a server issue, but because only certain computers are hit with it, i don't think that's the case. Once again, what type of internet connection do you have and with what internet service provider?

Hi there!
Ok my ISP is the biggest there is i Sweden called Telia and i have a 24mbit ADSL2+ connection.
My spec are
Dell XPS Gen2 M170 Notebook going through a Dlink DGL-4300 gaming router. The computer is the only one in the network and i have the same problem if i go wireless or through ethernet cable.
Weird part is that i never had problems at all. They started coming after the update as well. First i thought that it was my game that was bugged so i formated and reinstalled all drivers ng GW but the problem is still around =(

I doubt that it'd be a GW "bug", but possibly a problem somewhere along the way:
a) Player's PC <-> Whatever internet connection they have
b) Player's whatever connection <-> ISP [Firewalls and port restrictions, if any]
c) Player's ISP<-> Routing networks on the way to GW's ISP
d) GW's ISP <-> GW server machines and networking they have there.
A can be fixed player side, B can be fixed with complaing to your ISP, C is something you can't do much about than complain to your ISP, and D can be fixed by Anet (and it would be very large scale Err7's).
Running tracert to GW's servers [plaync.com seems to be the top domain for GW servers] could give some hints...

I just saw another thread about error 7's, and someone claims that changing their IP settings from DHCP to static IP has sovled their problem. I don't know how to do this yet, so I'll keep checking in that thread until someone smarter than me posts about it. When they do, I'll bring my newfound knowledge back here. Hopefully it'll work for everyone as well as it worked for that other guy.
